About Us

WELCOME TO ROATAN

Discover the Roatan We Know and Love

We create private and small-group experiences that take you beyond the usual tourist stops and into the places, stories, flavors, and communities that make Roatan truly special. With local knowledge and a passion for our island, we turn your time in Roatan into more than a day of sightseeing, we make it a day to remember.

OUR STORY

More Than A Tour,

A Dream Of My Own

Hi, I’m Joel Brooks (JB). For nearly 10 years, I dedicated myself to the tourism industry, learning the island, working with guests from around the world, and discovering what makes Roatan such a special place. During those years, I gained experience, built relationships, and learned the meaning of hospitality. But somewhere along the way, I began to feel that there was more I wanted to share. I didn’t simply want to show people the places everyone already knew.

I wanted to show them a different Roatan – The Roatan I had come to know through its people, its communities, its history, its hidden corners, its local flavors, its waters, and the stories that don’t always make it into a travel brochure. Eventually, I made one of the biggest decisions of my life. After 10 years working for someone else, I submitted my resignation and chose to step away from what was familiar to pursue a dream of my own.

That dream became A Day In Roatan With JB.

WHY I STARTED

I wanted to create something different; a company built around the belief that a great vacation isn’t just about checking places off a list.

It's about how a place makes you feel.

Every time I welcome a guest to Roatan, I have the opportunity to share a piece of the place I have spent so many years learning and loving.

Whether we’re exploring the West or East End, talking about the island’s history, eating something made locally, cruising through the mangroves, snorkeling our Caribbean waters, or simply stopping somewhere beautiful to take it all in — I want you to experience Roatan, not just visit it.

ALWAYS TRUST GOD

Leaving A Familiar Path After 10 Years Wasn't Easy
