Last Updated: October 9, 2026
Welcome to A Day In Roatan With JB. These Terms & Conditions govern reservations, bookings, payments, and participation in the tours and experiences offered through our website and other authorized booking channels.
Our goal is to provide enjoyable, well-organized, and authentic Roatan experiences while maintaining clear expectations for every guest.
By making a reservation, submitting a payment, or participating in a tour, you acknowledge that you have read and understood these Terms & Conditions, subject to any rights that cannot legally be waived under applicable law.
1. ABOUT OUR SERVICES
A Day In Roatan With JB provides guided tours, private excursions, small-group experiences, island sightseeing, cultural experiences, transportation arrangements, and other activities in Roatan, Bay Islands, Honduras.
Depending on the selected itinerary, a tour may include land transportation, boat transportation, snorkeling, wildlife encounters, beach visits, cultural activities, local food experiences, or services provided by independent third-party operators.
Each tour has its own description, itinerary, duration, inclusions, exclusions, pricing, and requirements. Guests should carefully review the information provided for their selected experience before booking.
We reserve the right to make reasonable adjustments to an itinerary when necessary for safety, weather, operational requirements, or circumstances beyond our control, subject to applicable consumer protection laws.
2. RESERVATIONS AND BOOKING CONFIRMATION
A reservation request is not considered confirmed until it has been accepted by A Day In Roatan With JB and the required deposit or payment has been received, unless otherwise stated in the booking confirmation.
When booking, guests must provide accurate information, including:
-
Full name of the primary booking guest.
-
Number of adults and children participating.
-
Selected tour, date, and preferred start time.
-
Cruise ship and port information, when applicable.
-
Hotel, resort, vacation rental, or other pickup location, when applicable.
-
A working telephone number or messaging contact.
-
Any relevant accessibility requirements or activity restrictions that the operator reasonably needs to know to arrange the experience safely.
Guests are responsible for reviewing their confirmation and promptly reporting any errors.
Reservations made through third-party platforms may also be subject to the booking platform’s terms, payment procedures, cancellation rules, and dispute-resolution processes. Where different terms apply, the relevant mandatory legal requirements and the applicable booking terms will govern.
3. DEPOSITS AND PAYMENTS
A deposit may be required to secure a reservation for guests who choose the option “Reserve Now, Pay Later”. Unless a specific tour listing or written confirmation states otherwise, our standard direct-booking deposit is US$50 per reservation.
The deposit is applied toward the total tour price and is not an additional charge.
The remaining balance must be paid according to the payment instructions provided during booking or in the reservation confirmation.
Accepted payment methods, deposit requirements, and balance-payment arrangements may vary by tour or booking channel. Any payment deadlines or special arrangements will be communicated before confirmation.
Guests are responsible for ensuring that payments are completed correctly and that sufficient funds are available. Any applicable third-party payment-processing fees, currency conversion charges, or bank charges will be disclosed where relevant.
We will not impose undisclosed charges. Any additional service, upgrade, or expense not included in the original booking must be communicated to the guest before it is charged.
A booking is not secured solely by an inquiry or verbal discussion unless we expressly confirm otherwise in writing.
4. CANCELLATION / REFUND POLICY
4.1 Cancellation by the guest
For direct bookings, our standard cancellation policy is:
-
At least 24 hours before the scheduled tour: Guests may cancel for a full refund of amounts paid, subject to applicable law and any clearly disclosed, legally permissible booking-specific terms.
-
Less than 24 hours before the scheduled tour: Are generally not refundable. Any refund or credit will depend on the circumstances, the costs already incurred, the applicable booking terms, and any rights provided by law.
-
No-show or failure to arrive on time: No refund is guaranteed where the guest fails to attend or misses the agreed departure without providing sufficient notice, subject to applicable law.
-
We understand that emergencies happen. In the case of medical emergencies or unavoidable circumstances, please contact us directly to discuss your situation, and we will do our best to accommodate you.
The cancellation period is measured against the confirmed local start time in Roatan, Honduras.
To cancel, guests must contact us using the contact details supplied in their booking confirmation. Guests should obtain written acknowledgment of their cancellation request.
4.2 Cancellation by A Day In Roatan With JB
If we cancel a tour and cannot provide a reasonably comparable alternative acceptable to the guest, the guest will be offered a refund of the amount paid for the affected tour or another lawful remedy, as applicable.
We will communicate cancellations as promptly as reasonably possible.
4.3 Refunds and Refund Processing
Approved refunds will generally be returned through the original payment method where practicable.
Processing times may vary depending on the payment provider, bank, card issuer, or booking platform. We will communicate any material information available to us about the refund process.
For bookings made through third-party platforms, refunds may need to be requested and processed through the original platform.
If a refund is approved for only part of a booking, the amount will be determined by the affected services, the circumstances, the booking terms, and applicable law.
A guest who believes that a refund has been incorrectly denied should contact us with the booking reference, tour date, and relevant details so that we can review the matter.
Nothing in this section limits any mandatory refund or consumer rights under Honduran law or other applicable law.
For direct bookings, our standard refund policy is:
- 100% “No-Dock” Refund if your cruise ship is unable to dock at the Port of Roatan in Coxen Hole or Isla Tropicale Cruise Terminal in Dixon Cove for any reason—including inclement weather, mechanical issues, or itinerary changes—you will receive a full 100% refund.
- Automatic Processing: No-dock refunds are processed automatically. You do not need to contact us if your ship skips the port; we monitor the port schedules and will initiate your refund within 1–3 business days to your original form of payment.
4.4 Booking-platform reservations
Reservations made through Viator, GetYourGuide, Tripadvisor, or another booking platform may be governed by that platform’s cancellation and refund procedures.
Guests should follow the cancellation instructions for the platform through which they booked. Where required, we will cooperate with the platform to process an eligible refund.
Nothing in this section limits any mandatory cancellation or refund rights available to consumers under applicable law.
5. WEATHER, SEA CONDITIONS, AND OPERATIONAL CHANGES
Roatan is a Caribbean island, and weather and sea conditions can change quickly.
Boat trips, snorkeling, beach activities, wildlife encounters, and other outdoor experiences may be affected by rain, wind, waves, visibility, marine conditions, or official safety advisories.
A tour may be delayed, modified, rescheduled, or canceled when conditions make the original itinerary unsafe or impracticable.
When a tour is canceled by us because of unsafe weather or sea conditions, guests will generally be offered:
-
An alternative date, if available and acceptable to the guest; or
-
A refund for the canceled tour if an acceptable alternative cannot be arranged.
Where only part of an itinerary is affected, we will explain the available alternatives. Any adjustment to the price or refund will be handled fairly, taking into account the services not provided and applicable law.
A forecast of rain alone does not necessarily mean a tour will be canceled. The decision will be based on the actual or reasonably anticipated conditions and the safety of the planned activity.
For activities requiring calm seas or specific operating conditions, participation and routing may depend on those conditions. We will explain material changes when reasonably possible.
6. CRUISE SHIP GUESTS AND PORT PICKUP
We welcome guests arriving aboard cruise ships at Roatan’s cruise terminals, including Isla Tropicale and the Port of Roatan, where pickup arrangements are offered for the selected tour.
Cruise guests must provide the correct ship name, port, docking date, and any other information requested during booking.
Unless a tour listing specifies a different arrangement, guests should follow the exact meeting instructions and pickup time supplied in their confirmation. If the listing provides a designated waiting period after docking, guests must allow that time before expecting pickup.
Guests are responsible for leaving the ship in sufficient time to reach the agreed meeting point.
Cruise-terminal access, traffic, disembarkation delays, port restrictions, and other circumstances may affect pickup times. Guests must contact us promptly if they experience a delay.
Return-to-ship arrangements: Where a tour listing expressly states that cruise return is guaranteed, we will plan the itinerary and return transportation around the ship’s published departure time. The guest must follow the confirmed meeting instructions, arrive on time, and remain reachable throughout the tour.
We cannot guarantee against extraordinary circumstances outside our reasonable control, including port closures, official restrictions, severe weather, emergencies, or transportation disruptions. If such circumstances arise, we will make reasonable efforts to assist affected guests.
7. PICKUP LOCATIONS AND GUEST RESPONSIBILITIES
Pickup may be available at designated cruise terminals, hotels, resorts, vacation rentals, or other agreed locations in Roatan.
Guests must provide the correct pickup address and be ready at the confirmed meeting point at the agreed time.
Some locations may have restricted vehicle access, security requirements, parking limitations, or designated pickup areas. Guests may be required to walk a short distance to a permitted meeting point.
Any additional transportation charge arising from a guest-requested location change must be communicated and agreed upon before it is incurred.
If a guest cannot locate the guide or driver, they should use the contact details in their confirmation rather than leave the meeting area without notifying us.
Failure to provide accurate pickup information or comply with meeting instructions may cause delays or prevent participation. Refund eligibility will be assessed under the cancellation policy and applicable law.
8. TOUR ITINERARIES, INCLUSIONS, AND EXCLUSIONS
Each tour description identifies the activities and services included in the advertised price.
Unless expressly stated as included, the following may be additional expenses:
-
Meals, snacks, and beverages.
-
Optional activities or upgrades.
-
Personal purchases and souvenirs.
-
Tips and gratuities.
-
Entrance fees or service charges not identified as included.
-
Personal equipment or services not listed in the tour description.
Guests should not assume that an activity, meal, entrance fee, or transportation service is included unless it appears in the listing or written confirmation.
We make reasonable efforts to keep our tour descriptions accurate. However, the order, duration, or availability of individual stops may change because of weather, traffic, operational requirements, safety concerns, or third-party availability.
Where a material change is necessary, we will communicate it when reasonably possible and address any resulting refund or alternative-service entitlement in accordance with the applicable booking terms and law.
9. HEALTH, SAFETY, AND PARTICIPATION REQUIREMENTS
Some tours involve physical activity, uneven ground, stairs, boat travel, swimming, snorkeling, wildlife encounters, or exposure to heat and sun.
Guests must carefully review the requirements and suitability information provided for their selected activity.
Guests are responsible for assessing their ability to participate and for notifying us before the tour of any relevant accessibility needs, mobility limitations, allergies, or activity restrictions that could affect safe participation.
Where an activity has age, height, weight, swimming ability, or other eligibility requirements, those requirements must be followed. Any restrictions will be communicated in the relevant tour description or before booking where reasonably possible.
Guests must follow the instructions of guides, boat operators, drivers, and activity staff. A guide may refuse participation in a particular activity when there is a reasonable safety concern, subject to applicable law and the circumstances.
Guests should bring appropriate clothing, sun protection, drinking water where recommended, and any personal items specified in the tour instructions.
Participation is voluntary. Guests should not take part in an activity that they reasonably believe is unsuitable for their circumstances.
10. WATER ACTIVITIES AND MARINE ENVIRONMENTS
Snorkeling, swimming, boat trips, and other marine activities involve inherent risks, including changing sea conditions, currents, slippery surfaces, marine life, and limited visibility.
Guests must comply with all safety briefings and instructions, use required safety equipment, and follow the designated activity boundaries.
Guests must not enter the water when instructed not to do so or when conditions are considered unsafe by the responsible guide or operator.
Swimming and snorkeling ability may be relevant to participation in certain activities. Guests must provide accurate information about their ability when asked and must not misrepresent their experience.
Marine wildlife must be treated respectfully. Guests must not chase, harass, feed, touch, or attempt to handle wildlife unless an activity is expressly authorized and supervised by qualified personnel.
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes responsibility for negligence, injury, or other liability where such exclusion is prohibited by law.
11. THIRD-PARTY OPERATORS AND ATTRACTIONS
Certain experiences may involve independent boat operators, restaurants, beaches, wildlife facilities, parks, activity providers, or other third-party businesses.
Where third-party services form part of a tour, we make reasonable efforts to work with providers suitable for the planned experience. Their individual operating rules, opening hours, safety requirements, and availability may affect the itinerary.
We are responsible for the services and obligations that applicable law places on us. We do not seek to exclude any responsibility that cannot legally be excluded.
Where a third party independently provides a service, its own lawful terms may also apply. We will make reasonable efforts to help guests address service issues related to their booking.
If a third-party attraction closes or becomes unavailable, we may arrange a suitable alternative where possible. Any material change and applicable refund entitlement will be addressed in accordance with the booking terms and law.
12. CHILDREN AND FAMILIES
Children must be accompanied and appropriately supervised by a responsible parent, guardian, or adult as required by the particular activity.
The accompanying adult is responsible for providing accurate information about participating children and ensuring that they follow the guide’s instructions.
Minimum ages, height or weight requirements, and other restrictions may vary between tours and activities. Guests must review the relevant listing before booking.
Some experiences may not be suitable for infants, young children, or guests who require particular accessibility arrangements. Please contact us before booking if you need clarification.
Parents and guardians remain responsible for the supervision and conduct of children in their care.
13. GUEST CONDUCT AND RIGHT TO REFUSE PARTICIPATION
All guests are expected to behave respectfully toward guides, drivers, other guests, local residents, animals, and the natural environment.
Threatening, abusive, discriminatory, harassing, or seriously disruptive behavior will not be tolerated.
Guests must not damage property, ignore safety instructions, interfere with the work of guides or operators, or behave in a manner that creates an unreasonable risk to others.
Where reasonably necessary to protect safety or comply with law, we may decline or discontinue a guest’s participation in an activity. We will consider the circumstances and any applicable legal obligations when determining whether a refund is due.
Guests are responsible for damage they cause through their unlawful or negligent conduct, subject to applicable law.
14. PERSONAL BELONGINGS
Guests are responsible for keeping their personal belongings secure throughout the tour.
We recommend keeping valuables, travel documents, cash, electronic devices, and other important items safely secured and bringing only what is reasonably necessary.
Please notify your guide promptly if you discover that an item is missing.
We will make reasonable efforts to assist with locating lost property. However, we cannot guarantee recovery and do not accept responsibility for loss, theft, or damage except to the extent that responsibility arises under applicable law.
15. PRICES, CURRENCY, AND ADDITIONAL CHARGES
Prices will be displayed in the currency identified on the relevant listing or booking page.
The final price may depend on the number of guests, selected activities, private-tour arrangements, optional extras, and other details disclosed during booking.
Where payment is processed in another currency, the guest’s bank or payment provider may apply its own conversion rate or fees.
We reserve the right to correct genuine pricing or listing errors before a booking is accepted. If a material error affects an accepted reservation, we will contact the guest to discuss an appropriate lawful resolution rather than impose an undisclosed price increase.
No additional charge will be imposed without an appropriate basis and disclosure.
16. SPECIAL REQUESTS AND ACCESSIBILITY
We welcome inquiries about dietary needs, mobility, accessibility, pickup arrangements, and other reasonable requests.
Please submit special requests as early as possible. We will confirm whether they can be accommodated.
A request is not guaranteed unless we expressly confirm it. Some locations, vessels, vehicles, or activities may have physical limitations that prevent particular arrangements.
We will communicate known limitations and consider reasonable arrangements where practicable and required by law.
17. COMMUNITY, CULTURAL, AND DONATION EXPERIENCES
Some tours may include visits to local communities, cultural sites, schools, charitable organizations, healthcare facilities, or community initiatives.
These experiences are intended to promote respectful engagement with Roatan and its communities.
Access to schools, hospitals, children’s facilities, and charitable organizations is subject to the permission and rules of the relevant institution. A planned visit may be modified or canceled if access is not authorized or if the institution determines that a visit is inappropriate at that time.
Donations are voluntary unless a specific contribution has been clearly disclosed as part of a booking. Guests should not assume that a donation is included in the tour price.
Donations will be handled according to the arrangements explained for the particular experience. Any representation concerning a donation recipient or intended use should be confirmed before the guest contributes.
Guests must respect privacy, confidentiality, and the dignity of local residents, children, patients, and staff. Photography or recording inside schools, hospitals, or other sensitive facilities is permitted only with the relevant authorization.
We reserve the right to adjust these experiences to respect the needs, policies, and welfare of the organizations and communities involved.
18. PHOTOGRAPHY AND PROMOTIONAL MATERIAL
Guests may take photographs for personal use where permitted by the guide, the activity provider, and the relevant location.
Photography may be restricted in certain facilities or during particular activities to protect privacy, safety, wildlife, or property.
We will not assume that a guest has consented to promotional use of their identifiable image merely because they participate in a tour. Any promotional use will be handled with appropriate permission and in accordance with applicable law.
Guests must obtain appropriate permission before photographing or recording other people, particularly children and individuals in sensitive settings.
19. FORCE MAJEURE AND UNFORESEEABLE EVENTS
Neither party will be treated as having breached these Terms & Conditions solely because an extraordinary event beyond reasonable control prevents or materially disrupts performance, subject to applicable law.
Such events may include severe weather, tropical storms, flooding, port closures, government restrictions, civil emergencies, major transportation disruptions, natural disasters, or other comparable circumstances.
We will make reasonable efforts to inform affected guests, consider safe alternatives, and address refunds or rescheduling in accordance with the booking terms and applicable law.
This provision does not remove any refund, compensation, or other rights that consumers may have under mandatory law.
20. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
A Day In Roatan With JB will perform its contractual obligations with reasonable care and in accordance with applicable law.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for losses arising solely from circumstances beyond our reasonable control or from a guest’s own unlawful conduct, material failure to follow safety instructions, or inaccurate information supplied during booking.
We do not exclude or restrict liability for fraud, intentional misconduct, negligence, death or personal injury where exclusion is prohibited, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions removes consumer rights or remedies that apply under Honduran law.
Guests are encouraged to consider appropriate travel insurance for medical expenses, travel interruptions, personal belongings, and other risks not covered by their booking.
21. TRAVEL DOCUMENTS AND PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY
Guests are responsible for ensuring that they possess the travel documents, identification, permissions, and other documentation required for their own travel and participation.
Cruise guests are responsible for complying with their cruise line’s boarding, disembarkation, and return-to-ship requirements.
We recommend that guests keep emergency contact information accessible and inform the guide of any issue that could materially affect safe participation.
22. WEBSITE CONTENT AND INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
Website text, photographs, graphics, logos, branding, and other original materials belonging to A Day In Roatan With JB may not be copied, reproduced, or commercially used without prior authorization, except where permitted by law.
Third-party names, trademarks, photographs, and materials remain the property of their respective owners.
We make reasonable efforts to keep our website accurate and available, but we cannot guarantee uninterrupted access or the absence of all technical errors.
We may update website content when necessary, provided that changes do not unlawfully alter the terms of a reservation already accepted.
23. PRIVACY AND PERSONAL INFORMATION
We collect and use booking and contact information as reasonably necessary to respond to inquiries, manage reservations, coordinate pickup and tour services, process payments or refunds, communicate operational changes, and meet applicable legal obligations.
Where necessary to provide a booked service, relevant information may be shared with guides, drivers, activity providers, payment processors, or booking platforms.
We aim to limit information sharing to what is reasonably needed for the relevant purpose and to take reasonable steps to protect the information we hold.
Please refer to our separate Privacy Policy for further information about the information collected through our website, communications, and booking processes.
Guests should not submit payment card details or other sensitive information through unsecured messaging channels.
24. COMPLAINTS AND CUSTOMER SUPPORT
We want every guest to have a positive and respectful experience.
If a concern arises before, during, or after a tour, please contact us as soon as reasonably possible so that we have an opportunity to understand and address it.
Please include your name, booking reference, tour date, and a clear description of the issue.
We will review complaints fairly and respond within a reasonable period.
Where a dispute cannot be resolved directly, guests retain any right to seek assistance from the competent Honduran consumer-protection or tourism authorities, or from another competent authority as provided by applicable law.
25. GOVERNING LAW AND JURISDICTION
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of the Republic of Honduras, subject to any mandatory consumer-protection rules that apply to a particular booking.
Any dispute will be handled by a competent authority or court with jurisdiction under applicable law.
Nothing in this section requires a consumer to surrender a mandatory legal right or submit to a forum where such a requirement would be unlawful.
26. CHANGES TO THESE TERMS
We may update these Terms & Conditions to reflect changes in our services, operational procedures, or applicable legal requirements.
The version published on our website will identify its most recent update date.
Changes will generally apply to reservations made after the revised terms take effect. Existing reservations will remain subject to the terms applicable to them at the time of booking, except where a change is required by law or otherwise validly agreed.
27. SEVERABILITY
If any provision of these Terms & Conditions is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue to apply to the extent permitted by law.
Any invalid provision will be interpreted or limited only as necessary to comply with applicable law, without removing any non-waivable rights.
28. ENTIRE AGREEMENT
These Terms & Conditions, together with the applicable tour description, written booking confirmation, disclosed cancellation policy, and any other expressly incorporated booking terms, form the agreement governing the relevant reservation.
If a specific written booking term conflicts with a general provision here, the conflict will be resolved by considering the specific booking terms, applicable law, and any mandatory consumer rights.
